Life is all about a search which is being made to reach solutions. “Good Solutions” are one of the most important aspects of human life. All of us want happy answers and happy endings in order to attain tranquility. All our worries, anxieties, sorrows, mental scars, complexities and droplets of tears were not created without a divine wisdom behind them. At times, problems knock our doors to the extent that we start thinking whether Allah SWT has forgotten to love us, Na’oodhubillah. We tend to forget that He SWT loved His prophets (peace be upon them all)  a lot, and that’s why they had to face the severest of tests ever. Divine laws and their wisdom are invisible to humans sometimes, but “invisibility” does not mean “nonexistence”. Every problematic scenario in our lives has its own solution; and we are here to seek solutions which could be apparent and/or hidden.

When we fail to convince our own selves during hard times, we start searching for ears which can listen to our pleas and give us solutions. The fact of the matter is, human beings can never generate “solutions” to our problems. They can give a shoulder to us, console us, advise us, and guide us but they can never ever give us the solutions. We can seek advice and guidance through discussions with people. Discussions may show us the way to reach solutions, but they are not solutions themselves.

There is no rocket science involved here. This is a reality which has slipped out of our realization very smartly. Yes, our families, loved ones, well-wishers and fellow human beings can only be our listeners or even seasonal counselors, but not the presenters of “solutions”. Even they are human beings just like us and thus, even they are dependent, inadequate and have mutual feelings.

Blog_Oct04_insideIf we were to seek solutions from a being, the candidate should be self-sufficient, All Knowing, All Bearing, always listening, the Just and the Merciful. A human being can never be all of the above all at once. A creation can never be all of them as a whole. Thus, you and I have to admit to the fact that the One and only deity worthy of being the giver of our solution is the One who made us: The supreme AllahSWT .
The best method to seek solutions for the confusions in our lives is to turn towards the Creator’s consultation! None can give us solutions like the One who has created us!

There are many ways through which we can get closer to AllahSWT in order to seek His solutions. Let’s analyze three major guidelines to be taken care of, during this process:

  • Cleansing the heart.

Spiritual purity is one of the mostly needed prerequisites of this journey. Making sure that our souls are sin free is an important quality test to be executed throughout our lives. Continues istighfar can wash off the traits of our misdeeds. Persistence in tawbah can create a shield between us and the bad side effects of our sins.

As we mentioned earlier, possessing the best of lives is but a main attribute for best of solutions. Thus prophet Nuh AS asked his people to engage themselves in istighfar so that Allah SWT may increase them in worldly wealth and forgive them!

“And said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.” (Nuh, 71:10 -11)

Cleansing the soul with istighfar and tawbah doesn’t only keep your life calm but also increases Allah’s SWT blessings in both the worlds.

  • Doing More Good Deeds

“And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.” (Hud,11:114 )

Good deeds involve any righteous actions which can bear merits such as charity, night prayer, being good to parents and much more.  One of the main good deeds is to leave everything which Allah SWT hates. We should strive to stop ourselves from engaging in anything which Allah SWT has forbidden.

We should invest our time in executing merit-able work. Allah SWT surely replaces the misdeeds with good deeds, and good deeds can surely draw us nearer to Allah SWT, in turn helping us attain His guidance throughout our lives.

  • Being Optimistic

A Muslim is different than other theists who believe in existence of God. One main factor which distinguishes him from the others is that he treats both good and bad in the same manner.

Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan RAu reported that:

The Messenger of Allah SAWS said, “How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him”. 1

We should always admit to the fact that calamities expiate sins. This can make us positive and keep us calm no matter what life has to give us. Allah SWT is the Most Just and He SWT can never hurt His slaves!

Let’s complain about our pain and cry in front of Him; He SWT can truly console us! Let’s beg Him, submit to Him and call out to Him; He SWT is the One Who always listens to our pleas! Let’s pour out what’s in our hearts; He SWT is the One Who knows what’s in them. Let’s turn to our Lord, He SWT never ever wastes our supplications !

Allah SWT says in the Qur’an:

“When My servants ask you about Me, then (tell them that) I am near. I respond to the call of one when he prays to Me; so they should respond to Me, and have faith in Me, so that they may be on the right path.” (Al Baqarah, 2:186)

Therefore, let’s seek the correct solutions by submitting ourselves to the Lord of all creations! HeSWT is enough for us!
