Were there are any narrators who have narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ) but were rejected due to forgetfulness or mental decline?
There are a number of narrators who were rejected for that reason. However, these are not from the Sahaba but they are lower down the rank in the isnad (chain of transmitters).
