Homosexuality and Islam

Can a Muslim be a homosexual or can a homosexual become a Muslim?

Yes, a Muslim can be a homosexual but he would be sinning. Suppose a homosexual couple gets married, their marriage is not accepted. Protestants may agree to this on the pretext of ‘god is love’ or that religion should change with the times and should not be rigid and fossilized. However, this is incorrect. It is a forbidden type of love.

Satan has beautified this in the eyes of the homosexuals. Adam and Eve never required the forbidden tree but Satan beautified this tree so much so that they desired it and wanted it and felt they just could not do without it.

 Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Have you not seen he who takes his desires of his heart as god.”[1]

When we follow such desires, we eventually start loving these desires more than Allah and His Prophet (ﷺ) and we could possibly fall into major shirk by finding excuses or justifying it.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said "None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his child, his father and all the people."[2]

Therefore, our love of Allah and His messenger should supersede every other love.
