Difference between Descriptive Statistic and Inferential Statistic

Can you please help me on this question, I'm still unable to understand what's the difference between the Descriptive Statistic and the Inferential Statistic.

In simple words, descriptive Statistics gives you information about your group in hand. For example, we can calculate the mean and standard deviation of the salaries of 100 labors and this could provide valuable information about this group of labor. But this does not allow us to make conclusions beyond the data we have analysed. Inferential statistics, on the other hand, allow us to use small samples to make generalizations about the populations from which the samples were drawn.
