If we recite some part of the durood after tashahhud in the 3rd or 4th raka’ah of fardh, sunnah and nafl Salah and then remembered that its 2nd raka’ah, are we required to do sujood as-sahw? Is there any special tasbeeh during sujood as-sahw like سبحان من لا ينام ولا يسع?
That has no effect because some narrations point out that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say some words after the tashahhud while in the second raka’ah of a four raka’ah salaah. But the majority of the scholars are of the opinion that one should not say salaat and salaam on the Prophet (ﷺ) in the first raka'ah and that is the preferable opinion.
There is no special du'a for sujood as-sahw. A person can make the dua's that they make in the usual sujoods.< Back to Questions
