Money in Islam

Is money in Islam a real asset or a financial asset?

Money in Islam is definitely a real asset, but it also possesses some characteristics of the financial asset.

For example, physical condition or form does not determine market value.

This is also true for money in Islam because although a real asset is going to be used as money, it is not going to be treated as a commodity by itself.
