What distinguishes the message brought by Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) from that of the previous Prophets?
The Prophets who came before Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) were sent to a particular people for a particular period of time and their messages were distorted after they passed away whereas Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) being the last and final Messenger of Allah, his message is the final message to humanity. This final message had to be preserved in a special way that not only it would reach a large portion of people during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ), but it would continue to spread until the last day because Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) will not reveal anything else after the Qur’an. That is why Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) took upon Himself to preserve the last and final message. So, the Prophet (ﷺ) who was to carry that final message had to be prepared in a number of different ways not only in terms of receiving the revelation, but emotionally also; to be grown up in a particular way which would ensure that he could carry the responsibility of conveying that message to mankind.< Back to Questions
