Common Daily Mistakes Exploited by Shaitan

The longer one makes daily mistakes, the more that Shaitan's trappings will start to be harder to resist and easier to fall into which usually revolve around various addictions as Shaitan wants to trap a person so he can move onto the next one and an addiction locks one into a vice, sin or foul activity without the ability to escape it freeing up Shaitan to go after others while making that person not only a slave of Shaitan but also perhaps working to spread his foul causes and agendas.

The Modern Islamic Home: Aspects and Principles (Part II)

The home must be a place of worship, a classroom, a place of taking care of the necessities of life, a place of close family relationships, a place for rest, a place for work, a place for drawing near to Allah Allah Subhanahu-wa-Taala even when no one else can see, a place of thinking, a place of upbringing steadfast and upright Muslim children. The home is the place we always return to in this world while the hereafter is the place we will certainly return to, after our death. Thus, it is a temporary resting place for us given as sustenance from AllahAllah Subhanahu-wa-Taala which we should use to prepare for the final resting place to come.

Characteristics of the People of Paradise

We dream of Paradise as our perfect abode. Allah swt tells us in the Holy Quran, in the Surah Ale Imran about some characteristics of these people. They spend freely of their time and money and emotions , doing good deeds both when they the time and the resources to do them and when there is a crunch. These people are also able to restrain their anger when provoked and pardon people who have wronged them. But shaitan will never make it easy for the people to follow these commands. How does he trick people? and What rewards are we looking at for not falling for his tricks and staying steadfast will be dealt with in the above article.

Halloween – Innocent Fun-Time, Spooky or Shirk?

The Halloween hoop-la is crazy and seems like it takes over everyone every year. But instead of going with the tide, we need to educate ourselves and especially our kids about it and tell them why we do not become a part of its festivities. It's not a bad thing to be different. Our religion gives us fun-off times (Come on, you just celebrated two Eids!) and-that should be enough for us. Having fun is absolutely permissible but going to extremes to have it and on the way trampling our beliefs is not only revolting but also implies our extreme lack of faith and lack of pride in our religion.

Let’s Convey Through Writing But Begin With Reading

Writing is an 'Art' and not a 'Science'. Therefore most of our English teachers don't end up as writers even though their grammar is excellent. The reason for this is that they work on the science of writing and not on the art of writing. If you focus on writing as a science, then it will be difficult to penetrate the hearts of the readers. If you win the heart, then you have won the mind because a large number of decisions are taken on the basis of feelings and not on thinking.

Beyond Ice Bucket…

If we see, in reality, “Ice Bucket Challenge” is nothing more than a reflection of societies’ slavery which is in the hands of a few artificially glamorized celebrities (Hollywood, Bollywood actors, Politicians, Sports persons, etc.). This clearly shows the influence certain people have on the masses even without meeting them in person, or giving them any money or perks. The way this cult started is something we all need to contemplate on. The media controls the world; the hearts and the minds of people.
