The Fruit of One’s Labors

Some of what we do is greater than other things depending on where Allah made us excel. It is like a farmer who is producing exotic fruits and he has some trees which are special which he reserves for himself and does not take to the market while some are standard marketable produce and others are below par than what he would want to send to market. Allah grants us special blessings in some areas and makes us deficient in others.

The Sunnah of Mental Focus

Do not let Shaitan steal even what you think is a bad day. Make it a success by giving it to Allah SWT who has given you a limited number of days with which he will test you and give you an opportunity to worship Him while purifying yourself. So take full advantage of all of them by having habits, patterns and strategies reinforced and implemented to deal with the troubles, the pain, the challenges and the strife when it comes.

The Barometer of Islamic Society

As Muslims striving in the cause of Allah, we should have our own criterion to determine if our society is in a positive state or in a decline. We should not depend on rulers or mass media which are not always honest or may be under coercive measures and far from independent to avoid bias or false perceptions. An analysis of history and especially Islamic history can be conducted to investigate this subject. Yet more importantly, the Prophet (SAW) has provided us with many of these barometers in his statements and actions, that provide a wonderful criterion to judge our neighborhood or even the world as a whole.

Common Daily Mistakes Exploited by Shaitan

The longer one makes daily mistakes, the more that Shaitan's trappings will start to be harder to resist and easier to fall into which usually revolve around various addictions as Shaitan wants to trap a person so he can move onto the next one and an addiction locks one into a vice, sin or foul activity without the ability to escape it freeing up Shaitan to go after others while making that person not only a slave of Shaitan but also perhaps working to spread his foul causes and agendas.

The Modern Islamic Home: Aspects and Principles (Part II)

The home must be a place of worship, a classroom, a place of taking care of the necessities of life, a place of close family relationships, a place for rest, a place for work, a place for drawing near to Allah Allah Subhanahu-wa-Taala even when no one else can see, a place of thinking, a place of upbringing steadfast and upright Muslim children. The home is the place we always return to in this world while the hereafter is the place we will certainly return to, after our death. Thus, it is a temporary resting place for us given as sustenance from AllahAllah Subhanahu-wa-Taala which we should use to prepare for the final resting place to come.
